Located along the Danube river in the city of Galati, Romania, some 80 miles from the Black Sea, Damen Shipyards Galati is the largest of Damen Shipyards Group’s 55 shipyards, repair yards and related companies worldwide.
Damen shipyards Galati is state-of-the-art yard with a diverse portfolio whose newbuilding activities include a wide range of complex and high technology products from offshore vessels, dredgers and naval vessels to special custom-made vessels, tugs and workboats.
In addition to the modern shipbuilding infrastructure of Damen Shipyards Galati, a number of subcontractors are also established at the shipyard’s premises and act as co-makers with regard to engineering, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, blasting and painting works as well as other support activities.
Maintaining and further improving our standards and upgrading our custom-focused processes are the main goals within the Integrated Quality Management System which is accredited by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance based on the SR EN ISO 9001:2008, SR EN ISO 14001:2005, SR OHSAS 18001:2008 requirements.
