The Committee for Expertise in Shipbuilding (CESS) will bring together the JECK delegations of Japan, Europe, China and Korea in 2026, in a working format dedicated to strategic directions for the shipbuilding industry. This year’s meeting is scheduled for 14-16 October 2026 in Cadiz, Spain.
CESS acts as a coordination platform for the major shipbuilding regions, preparing topics and positions that can guide JECK discussions. Europe is represented through EUROYARDS, a group of major shipbuilders and a member of SEA Europe.
The agenda is relevant for European maritime companies because it touches on industrial competitiveness, international cooperation and the way shipyards can respond to technological and regulatory change.
