DNV Cyber is offering a practical Security Operations Centre (SOC) self-assessment designed to help organisations evaluate their current approach to cyber security.
Most organisations have security monitoring, alerting and reporting in place, whether delivered in-house or through a service provider. Yet many still struggle to understand which events matter most, how they affect critical operations and which actions to prioritise.
The assessment focuses on five main dimensions: clear prioritisation of the risks that matter most; meaningful business and operational context; support for better risk-based decisions; continuous improvement over time; and effective governance and collaboration.
It is designed for organisations operating critical infrastructure, regulated environments and complex IT/OT operations, offering a simple way to identify strengths, potential gaps and opportunities for further review.
For the maritime, port and shipping supply-chain sectors — increasingly digitalised and interconnected — such a self-assessment can support efforts to strengthen cyber resilience and align with tightening critical-infrastructure requirements.
