The European Commission has announced the launch of the new EU Industrial Maritime Value Chains Alliance during a workshop organised by SEA Europe at the SMM trade fair in Hamburg.
The Alliance aims to bring together stakeholders from the maritime manufacturing industry to strengthen European value chains in the sector. The Commission has published a call for applications inviting eligible companies and organisations to join, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria and signing the Alliance Declaration. The call will remain open permanently, with a first deadline of 16 October.
SEA Europe is also organising an online webinar on 28 September, between 15:00 and 16:30, to explain how the Alliance will work, outline the expected next steps and present SEA Europe’s role in facilitating participation by stakeholders in the maritime manufacturing sector. The webinar is open to SEA Europe members and their member companies, with registration at df@seaeurope.eu.
