A new update from the GoodTenders platform, received by ANCONAV, highlights a selection of active international tenders for vessels and boats, with deadlines in September and October 2026. The most relevant of these for Romanian industry is a procurement taking place in Romania itself.
Maritime coastal patrol vessel for the Border Police
The General Inspectorate of the Romanian Border Police is seeking to acquire a maritime coastal patrol vessel. The deadline for submitting offers is 28 September 2026, and financing comes from non-refundable external funds under call BMVI/2023-2024/SA/1.2.2, together with allocations from the 2021-2027 National Border Management and Visa Programme and the state budget.
The contracting authority uses contract review clauses for the delivery of state-of-the-art products. Clarification requests regarding the award documentation are submitted exclusively through SEAP, with responses published 11 days before the offer submission deadline.
Australian panel for military watercraft
The Australian Department of Defence is launching a standing offer panel for watercraft and small vessels, with a deadline of 2 November 2026. The panel aims to create a streamlined procurement mechanism covering the majority of Defence needs for seaboats and small watercraft, as well as those of other Commonwealth agencies.
It seeks a small number of experienced Australian suppliers capable of designing, integrating, manufacturing and supporting watercraft capabilities, including platform integration, technical data and long-term sustainment support.

- Australia – design and construction of a 6.5-7 m aluminium vessel package for coastal patrols in the Gulf of Carpentaria (deadline 24 September 2026);
- Bangladesh – construction and delivery of four coastal patrol vessels for the Coast Guard (deadline 29 September 2026);
- Denmark – two amphibious vessels with trailer for the coastal rescue service and up to five electric ferries for five municipalities (deadlines 28-30 September 2026);
- Germany – construction and operational delivery of a PB29-3 patrol boat for the Hamburg port fleet (deadline 29 September 2026);
- Sweden – ten new pilot boats, with an option for six more (deadline 1 October 2026);
- Poland – delivery of a rescue and training boat for the maritime search and rescue service (deadline 29 September 2026).
The update also includes procedures for intervention boats, rescue boats, rafts and workboats in Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Ghana, Greece, Jamaica, the Philippines, Senegal and Spain.

These notices confirm steady international demand for small and medium-sized vessels and boats with specialised roles – patrol, rescue, civil intervention and border protection. Even if not every procedure fits Romanian companies directly, monitoring them helps identify product and service niches: design, aluminium and steel hull construction, systems integration, safety equipment, maintenance and operational training.
